American Style Pancakes with Bacon Recipe

American Style Pancakes with Bacon Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 egg
- 6-8 bacon slices
- 100 plain flour
- 2 tsp of butter
- 100ml whole milk
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- 1 tbsp baking soda
- Maple syrup
- Salt
Method

- Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and a pinch of salt. Whisk them together until
they are well-combined. Then, add the egg, oil, and milk, and whisk them until the flour is
moistened and the pancake batter is done. - Place oil in a cast-iron griddle or frying pan and cook the slices of bacon, until they are crispy and
golden. Once they are cooked, drain the bacon on paper towels. - Remove the bacon oil, but leave a little bit of it to give your pancakes a more bacon taste.
- There are 2 options to make the pancakes: Pour or scoop 1⁄4 cup of batter into the pan, and top a
bacon strip. Or place a slide of bacon back to the pan and then pour the batter on top of it. Either
way, cook them for 2 minutes, flip and repeat. Set the pancakes aside and leave them in the oven
to keep them warm. - Keep doing this process until all the batter is used up. Finally, serve them on a plate, add a
drizzle of maple syrup on top to taste.
